Jannu Peak or Kumbakarna (it’s official name) is the 32nd highest peak in the world with an elevation of 7710m. Local tribes consider the mountain sacred and call it the mountain with shoulders. With several challenging routes it is a major Himalayan peak.
Jannu is a steep vertical peak with extreme technical routes towards the summit. You will need to allocate at least an extra 15 days in addition to the approach and depending upon acclimatization.
This is a guided climb with fixed ropes but the summit routes are extremely difficult mixed rock and ice climbing over 7000m. If you have had extensive previous himalayan experience then consider the climb. It is not for beginners.
This YouTube video will give you a better idea on the difficulty of climbing Jannu.
