Afternoon in Lhonak

It is another long day from Kambachen to Lhonak, which is almost seven hours walking. Guide will recommend starting early just listen to his trek briefing on last night. Trail pass through rocky fields and considerable boulders instead of terraced field and dense forest. We will enter of Ramtang Valley passing through Ramtang Monastery. Monastery is located next to bridge after waterfall; this is pleasant area for break. We will stop for a while and reenergize ourselves for facing remaining tricky portion of landslide prone area. There are some loose rocks on the trail where one need to be careful and should maintain speedy and steady pace. After this difficult section now we will follow a short downhill trail toward the riverside. After a while settlement of Lhonak came into sight. There are just three or four small stone teahouses, which basically serve as a summer settlement of shepherds. Today and tomorrow on Pangpema we might be depending on our tent for overnight stay as accommodation are better on tent than teahouses. It is a big grassy plain with high hills and mountain on surrounding ridges that offer excellent campsite near to teahouses. However if you think you can adjust within a teahouse that is also fine as it is about two nights stay one on Lhonak and one on Pangpema.
